Thongs In A Can by Tuna Safe

By Paul Andrei | April 17, 2008

tunasafe.jpgYes I know what you’re thinking. Thongs In A Can? Not so much a surprise, but it’s the meaning and story underneath this undergarment that sparks interest for many. Tuna Safe Thongs In A Can was an idea that spawned from one inebriated evening. The story goes that the idea came from after having a bottle of vodka and pondering over the meaning behind the “Dolphin Safe” logo you would find on a can of tuna. With feminine hygiene in mind, Cristian, founder of Tuna Safe thought…

Why don’t I create an assurance symbol similar to the “Dolphin Safe” logo? Instead of a dolphin, I’d use a tuna fish & call it “Tuna Safe“. I’d then place the logo on the front of a very nice pair of women’s thongs so that the wearer could assure their potential mate that they keep their business clean. The “Tuna Safe” logo would be…your fresh seal!!! YEAHHH!!! Wait a minute…it could also be used as a mood indicator!!!

This novelty thong is a “very high quality… white pair of American Apparel® - Baby Rib Thongs with the Tuna Safe™ logo on the front & a small tuna fish image on the back.” It comes in a small tin can with the “Your Fresh Seal” printed on the lid. And to promote feminine hygiene, Tuna Safe will donate a portion to the Gynecological Cancer Foundation. This is a must have item for fans of personal hygiene and like my grandmother at the produce market would always say… “Fresh is Best!”

Neat marketing idea. Do you think they are edible. They could then put them in the Food Asle. Just make sure you do not forget and put them in your pantry and have the kids open them.
